Hi, my name is Monique. I am from the Netherlands, but I have been living in Cyprus (Nicosia) for almost 30 years now. I originally studied International Business, and this is the field I have worked in for most of my life. However, I realized that my passion is with education. I have been teaching for the last 5 years — first at the Dutch school for Dutch children here in Cyprus, then in English, and for some time now Greek for foreigners. I can also teach you the Cypriot dialect and explain the difference between standard Greek and the dialect spoken in Cyprus. I have taught ages 6 to 65 in Dutch, Greek, and English, up to B2. As I had to learn Greek myself once, I have a very good understanding of the grammar and the complications it has for a non-Greek person.
